Credit Suisse is introducing the Credit Suisse Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Equality Index (CS LGBT Equality Index). The CS LGBT Equality Index tracks the performance of companies with LGBT-friendly policies while maintaining the benefit of diversification offered by the S&P 500. The daily returns of the two indices have historically been 99% correlated. The purpose of this report is to describe how the constituents for the CS LGBT Equality Index are selected and explain the index weighting methodology.
